• meet with new patients to assess their needs
• develop plans to support motor skill improvement
• provide home assessment prior to hospital discharge
• deliver ergonomic assessments in the workplace
• support and advise on assistive technology to adapt a patient’s environment to their new level of mobility
• design or co-ordinate return to work programs and monitor existing client progress; work as part of a multidisciplinary team within a community or inpatient setting
• attend relevant professional development training to maintain currency of practice.
Registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.
